Position overview
As a Junior Site Reliability Engineer at Sakura Sky, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our clients’ cloud infrastructure and applications. This role requires a strong understanding of both software development and systems engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain the availability, performance, and health of client systems and infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues related to system performance, security, and reliability.
Assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud-based services and resources.
Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure quick issue identification and resolution.
Contribute to the development and improvement of our SRE practices, tools, and automation efforts.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 1 year of experience in a technical role, such as software development, systems administration, or site reliability engineering.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related services.
Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Knowledge of scripting and programming languages, such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members.
